Recipe of the weekStyle Space Signature Brussel Sprouts
If you think you aren't a brussel sprout fan, we think you'll change
your mind after making them this way. Even our kids will eat them!
And, if you already love this cute little member of the cabbage family,
you'll for sure be in heaven now!
It's really easy.
We like to buy the prepackaged bags from Trader Joes but
if you want to buy them in bulk and wash them yourself, go for it!
Pre-heat oven to 375
Cut each one into three or four pieces
Put them in a zip-lock freezer size bag
Pour olive oil in the bag. A few drops will do.
Add a little salt and pepper to taste. Don't over salt!
Seal bag, smoosh around so that olive oil covers all of them
thoroughly. You may need to add a little more....
Open bag, pour them on a roasting pan, spread them out with a
spatula so they aren't lumped on top of each other. We like to use the
Pampered Chef stoneware.
Pop in the oven and use spatula to move them around every fifteen
minutes or so. You'll see them start to get crispy. We like to cook
for around 45 minutes, but we also like them pretty well done. All the
little leaves that fall off get really crunchy. You can pop them in your
mouth like potato chips! The great thing about this recipe is you can
substitute broccocli or cauliflower too. Let us know what you think!
Bon Appetite!

** adult serving suggestion- put them over brown rice, add some spicy
Shriracha Chili Sauce. Healthy and yum!

Up for a challenge?
Can you give up sweets for a day....an entire week?
Challenge yourself to be the best YOU, inside and out.

How do you create your own signature style or fine-tune the one you have

First, let me start by saying signature style (a.k.a. SS) is for everyone

Fashion can cost you oodles of money. But signature style doesn’t have to.

It's about cultivating a look that is YOU, not your friend or the latest celebrities on the cover of People magazine. However, you can look to a girlfriend or a celebrity for inspiration

provided that style suits YOU. LIke, really suits you. For example,  I happen to think those Olsen twins have an amazing sense of style. I love how they put things together, some of it so ugly it becomes oh, so cute on THEM! "Them" is the operative word.  Now, that said, I could never embrace that SS. I would feel like an idiot dressing like that. I would feel like I was

playing dress up (never mind that I'm almost double their age).  I admire their style for

sure but it's not ME.  I focus more on someone with Angelina Jolie's style to give me inspiration. The colors she chooses, the styles she wears. Those feel like me and they work with my shape. So, as long as you know yourself and the image you feel comfortable projecting,  you can

look to others to keep you focused on YOUR signature style and to give you ideas on how

to put it together without being a total copycat or out of your own element.

SS can be found in every price range. It's all about the choices you make and how you

mix things together.  If you know what looks super cute on you and what you feel fantastic wearing, you are well on your way to establishing your own signature look that can evolve over the years.  Pick  a style muse (someone you know or a celebrity or two), grab a girlfriend and

let's get started!
